On Wednesday night I was invited to ‘The Enchanted Garden’ and it was a very beautiful evening.
The event was organised to showcase the Gardens Theatre at QUT Gardens Point as an event space for function hire together with event partners The Styled Group and Cuisine on Cue.
Gardens Theatre at QUT Gardens Point is a large glass paneled room which during the day fills with sunshine and looks out into the City Botanic Gardens with glimpses of city skyscrapers. While at night the space transforms and the city lights twinkle thru the trees. This flexible space would easily seat guests for a wedding ceremony (plus a dance floor), a cocktail party, product launches or banquet dinners.
The event was superbly styled by The Styled Group. A company which offers an all-encompassing experience in event styling, visual merchandise and furniture hire. Attention to detail within ‘The Enchanted Garden’ was faultless from the elegant crystal chandeliers, masses of candles and luxurious purple table clothes to the moss-like table runners upon which banquet platters were laid to our take home gifts of an individual glass bauble complete with miniature garden.
Catering on the night was prepared by Cuisine on Cue, a premier Brisbane catering company which offer a range of services from formal to casual catering for any corporate event, private event or wedding. Our sumptuous dinner banquet consisted of Yellowtail Kingfish on soba noodle salad with warm passionfruit vinaigrette; Sarsaparilla beef cheek with grilled fennel and roasted beets; Warm confit duck terrine with spiced rum raisins, cress and pollen; Heirloom tomato salad with goats curd, kale crisps and leatherwood honey and Potato and celeriace bake topped with feta and grana padano. The final piece de resistance was our dessert gift bag which contained an individual dark chocolate marquise, choc chip base, pistachio crust and corn toffee – sensational.
My evening in ‘The Enchanted Garden’ was a visual sensation and a culinary feast, everything I experienced on the night was as I have written in this blog post. I would definitely recommend Gardens Theatre at QUT Gardens Point to anyone for their next event location. If you are looking for a central city location which is modern, naturally filled with light and surrounded by gardens then this is the venue for you. Combine your venue hire at Gardens Theatre with The Styled Group and Cuisine on Cue and you can be guaranteed an amazing event experience.
